We host families with children from age 4 and
up. For younger children, we recommend lodges with dedicated childcare. Most
families travel with kids ages 6-16 and have an incredible experience.
Absolutely. You'll be in a private vehicle at
all times during game drives. Our guides are trained in child safety, and all
lodges have secure, fenced grounds. We include medical evacuation coverage on
every booking.
We design family itineraries with shorter
drives (2-3 hours max) and built-in breaks. Most lodges have pools and gardens
so kids can play between drives.
Every lodge we use for family safaris has
interconnecting rooms or family suites, kids' menus, and child-friendly
activities. We hand-pick properties specifically for families.
June to October is peak season with excellent
wildlife viewing and dry weather. December to March is also great with fewer
crowds and calving season in the Serengeti. We align departures with U.S. school
breaks.
Our 10-day family safari starts from $6,500
per person. Children under 12 typically receive a 20-30% discount. We'll provide
