Questions photographers usually ask

All levels from advanced amateurs to working professionals. Our guides adapt their instruction and positioning to your experience. First-time wildlife shooters get more guidance; pros get more independence and custom positioning.

We recommend a telephoto lens (100-400mm or 200-600mm minimum), a wide-angle for landscapes, and a fast prime for low light. Bring a sturdy beanbag or gimbal head. We provide beanbag mounts on every vehicle. Lens rentals can be arranged.

Small groups mean everyone gets a window seat, there's no competing for angles, and the vehicle stays quiet — critical for not spooking wildlife. It also means your guide can give personalized attention to your shooting.

We have exclusive access to permanent hides at waterholes in Tarangire. These ground-level blinds let you shoot animals at eye level as they drink — producing dramatic, intimate portraits impossible from a vehicle.

Every season has its strength. Feb = calving & predator action. Jul–Aug = Great Migration herds. Sep = Mara River crossings. We time departures around these events specifically.

No — they're optional but highly recommended. Your guide reviews your day's images, offers composition feedback, and shares processing techniques. Most photographers find it's the fastest way to improve during the trip.

Absolutely. Private departures start from 2 photographers and can be customized for specific wildlife events, longer stays, or specialized goals. Contact us for a custom quote.

Drones are prohibited in all Tanzania national parks. However, we can arrange drone shoots in conservancy areas outside the parks for an additional fee.
